SCreen is out of sync. range o.o

i accidently unplugged my monitor power plug
and i replugged it in but the monitor went to the defualt screen resoultion
and the defualt screen resolution is 1024 by 768 pixels
but i usually use 800 by 600 cause my eyes are sort of bad and the words are too small
anyways now when i try Alcandonms
it says Sync. out of range 77.2kHz / 120 kHz
help? o.o
